Terms of Service

What Axia is
Axia is a discovery service for specialty coffee. We surface coffees from independent roasters, and we act as your buying agent: you pay Axia, we place the order with the roaster on your behalf, the roaster ships directly to you, and we keep a service fee that is shown to you before you pay.
Orders are placed by a person at Axia, not automatically. That is why an order can take a little time to be confirmed, and why we tell you if a roaster turns out not to be able to fill it.
Our role
Axia is an intermediary. We are not the seller of record for any coffee a roaster ships directly. When you check out, you authorize Axia to buy a specific coffee on your behalf at the price displayed, plus the service fee shown alongside it.
We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any roaster unless explicitly stated. Roaster names and trademarks belong to their owners.
Your responsibilities
- Use the service for personal, lawful purposes
- Provide accurate shipping and payment information
- Do not attempt to scrape, mass-download, or reverse-engineer Axia
- Do not impersonate a roaster or claim affiliation with Axia
Subscriptions and billing
If you subscribe, your plan renews automatically and bills on its own schedule — monthly or every two weeks, depending on the plan you chose — at the price shown when you signed up. It keeps renewing until you cancel. Each period we choose a coffee matched to your taste profile and have it shipped to you.
The plan price covers the coffee, its shipping, and our service fee. There is nothing extra to pay per box.
You can cancel at any time from your account, without contacting us. Cancelling stops future charges; a box you have already paid for still ships. From the same place you can skip an upcoming box, update your card, or change your delivery address.
If a payment fails we will retry it and email you, and your subscription may pause until it goes through. If we ever change the price of your plan, we will tell you before the change takes effect.
Refunds
You are charged when you place an order, or at the start of each subscription period.
If we cannot get you a coffee you paid for — it sold out, the roaster cannot ship to your address, or we cannot reach them — we refund that part of your order in full: the coffee, its shipping, our service fee on it, and the tax charged on it. The refund goes back to the card you paid with, and we email you naming the roaster and the amount. If the rest of your order can still be filled, it goes ahead.
Coffee is perishable and ships directly from the roaster, so we do not run a general returns process. If something arrives damaged, wrong, or not at all, email hello@axia.coffee and we will sort it out with you.
Roasters and their content
Axia ingests publicly available product information from roaster sites, transforms it into our own descriptions, and displays it alongside attribution and an outbound link. We do not reproduce roaster prose verbatim. We do not display roaster photography or trademarked logos without consent.
Roasters may request removal at any time by emailing takedowns@axia.coffee. Our SLA is 48 hours from receipt.
Disclaimers
Axia is provided as is. We make no warranties about the availability, accuracy, or freshness of catalog data. Prices and stock may change between the time we ingest a listing and the time you buy. We are not responsible for the quality, taste, fulfillment, or condition of any coffee shipped by a roaster.
Changes
We may revise these terms. Material changes get a notice at the top of this page and, for account holders, an email. The “Last updated” date above always reflects the most recent revision.
