Kivanga - Kenya

A washed Kenyan from Embu's Kivanga Estate, where Morris Njage grows SL varieties at 1,800 meters and processes the harvest through his own wet mill. Ripe cherry was sorted and fermented open-tank style for 36–48 hours before washing and drying. The cup leans into the juicy red-fruit character typical of Kenya — cranberry, currant, and dark berries — but with candied ginger and clove tea warming the finish. Bright citrus acidity threads through. Best as a pourover or filter method to showcase the fruit intensity.
